Do you play the lottery? Winning the lotto jackpot is one way to become rich without actually working hard for it. What about the 2012 Lottery? Do you want to play that one? That one won’t make you rich because it’s a different kind of lottery – The winners get to survive; everybody else dies.
Now that you know what the 2012 Lottery is, do you still want to play? Well, perhaps you don’t have a choice because, if you don’t play, it means that you will die for sure.
Let me explain how it works. The Mayan calender predicts that the world will come to an end in the year 2012. Leading scientists have found a way to save some people so that the human race would survive whatever impending disasters are coming our way. They will be able to house some people in a shelter designed to survive anything.
Once the impending disaster is over with, these people will begin to re-populate the planet. However, there is only limited space and there is no good way to decide who will survive and who will die. So a lottery will be held to decide this. Every citizen on planet Earth will have an equal chance of winning the lottery.
What will the odds of winning the 2012 Lottery be? Well, nobody knows for sure how many people can be saved. Let’s assume, for arguments sake, that 1000 people can be saved. There are approximately 6.7 billion people on the planet. That means that the odds of you winning a spot in the shelter would be approximately 1-in-6.9-million. Those aren’t very good odds for your survival but, hey, at least it’s easier than winning Powerball!
